Dubai Women Establishment has published numerous reports regarding Emirate women’s socio-economic participation, discussing challenges, recommending solutions and policies, and highlighting achievements in this regard.
DWE Programs Programs
ShEntrepreneur is an innovative entrepreneurship program organized by the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Developed in collaboration with Hult Ashridge International Business School, the program aims to empower Emirati women by equipping them with essential business knowledge and practical skills in areas such as strategy, finance, marketing, leadership, and resilience. Through expert-led sessions, coaching, and panel discussions with successful entrepreneurs, ShEntrepreneur supports aspiring businesswomen in navigating complex challenges and building sustainable ventures, contributing to the UAE’s vision of becoming a global hub for entrepreneurship.
The Women on International Boards program, organized by the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in collaboration with the UK-based Institute of Directors (IoD), is designed to empower Emirati women leaders with the governance expertise and leadership skills necessary for serving on international boards. Tailored for participants from leading UAE government, semi-government, and private institutions, the program delivers intensive training across seven core modules, including corporate governance, finance, strategy, and risk management. By fostering global perspectives and practical skills, the program strengthens women’s leadership presence at the highest decision-making levels. It supports DWE’s vision of positioning Dubai as a pioneering model for women-friendly cities.
The Innovative Leaders Program, organised by the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) and launched under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in partnership with Hult Ashridge International Business School, prepared Emirati women leaders for future-focused innovation. This eight-day immersive program, held in the UK, included experiential learning, coaching, organisational visits, and real-world strategic challenges. Participants connected with global experts and tech leaders, gaining essential skills to drive change, shape organisational culture, and contribute to the UAE’s advancement in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Tamkeen+ is a year-long leadership development program launched by Dubai Women Establishment, tailored for the heads of women’s committees across government and semi-government entities. The program equipped participants with advanced tools to enhance their analytical thinking, leadership effectiveness, and strategic decision-making, aligning with global standards. Through immersive learning experiences, including sessions on AI, mental wellness, leadership, protocol, and communication, participants gained the skills to elevate institutional performance and thrive in both professional and social contexts.
The Mental Health Program has been hosted for seven editions so far. The initiative aims to equip participants with self-development tools, techniques to strengthen personal and professional relationships, and strategies to enhance work-life balance and productivity. Certified trainers lead engaging mental health workshops that include interactive sessions, guided self-reflection, wellness activities, and open dialogue in a safe and supportive environment. It offers a unique space for participants to explore the impact of mental well-being on personal happiness and professional success, reinforcing the message that investing in mental health is an investment in the future.
Dubai Women Establishment organized two editions of "YES! Mentorship Program" in 2022 and 2023, in cooperation with the Nordic Embassies in the UAE, to enhance the professional and leadership skills of Emirati women and increase their participation in socio-economic development by providing them with the required skills that will help them become highly competent professionals able to overcome challenges and utilise their abilities. The program brought together a total of 53 dedicated female Emirati employees from various government, semi-governmental, and private sectors in both sessions of the program.
Aligned with the celebrations of Emirati Women's Day, the Dubai Women Establishment collaborated with the "Hawiya" podcast on the Baynouna Channel. The initiative focuses on showcasing the accomplishments of Emirati women, sharing their inspiring experiences on both local and global stages. Sponsored by the Dubai Women Establishment, the podcast features discussions with remarkable Emirati women. It aims to foster a culture of knowledge exchange and inspiration, drawing lessons from their unique experiences and ongoing contributions to the UAE.
DWE collaborated with Hawkamah, the Institute for Corporate Governance, to increase the participation of female leaders and business women amongst boards of directors in the region.
The programs included topics such as leadership and instigating change; female leaders in the private sector; strategic planning; leadership skills; communication between various cultural segments; and principles of corporate governance.
The Women Leadership Exchange Program included executive programs, theoretical courses, practical projects, specialized case studies, workshops, training sessions and programs for elite leaders to exchange knowledge and experiences, as well as cultural and touristic tours of both the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Sweden.
DWE developed the program to enhance the skills of Emirati women and introduce key competencies designed to match the needs and strategic priorities of the UAE.
The gathering includes a series of quarterly events with the participation of a number of UAE, regional and international leaders.
