Dubai Women Establishment finalizes a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Police

Dubai, March 7, 2024: Dubai Women Establishment signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Police to consolidate the partnership between the two parties, including cooperation in organising joint conferences and events and coordinating and implementing training and development programs to enhance women’s professional skills and capabilities in various fields.
The memorandum was signed during the World Police Summit 2024, which was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from March 5 to 7, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The memorandum was signed by Naeema Ahli, Acting CEO of Dubai Women Establishment, and Expert Major Al Anoud Al Saadi, Head of the Women's Police Council, of Dubai Police. This step comes within the efforts of both parties to enhance the role of women and their effective participation in building a safe and prosperous society through exchanging experience and knowledge and cooperating in providing training opportunities for each other’s female employees and members in external programs and courses.
A model for government partnerships
Naeema Ahli expressed her contentment at signing the memorandum that strengthens the existing cooperation with Dubai Police, which is a model for government partnerships that translate the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The integration and partnership between government agencies and the application of outstanding practices that enhance Dubai’s global leadership in government performance and excellence is highlly vital to keep pace with the directives of His Highness to harness all the capabilities that consolidate the role of women in various sectors and enhance their participation in creating the future.
She added that this cooperation with Dubai Police comes within the framework of Dubai Women Establishment’s commitment to supporting the external representation of Emirati women and enhancing their influence in global forums; following the implementation of the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council (UAE GBC), President of Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) and President of Dubai Ladies Club (DLC), wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The memorandum stipulates providing appropriate opportunities for female members of the Dubai Police in the training programs organised by the Establishment outside the country aimed at enhancing functional and personal capabilities and refining leadership skills, as well as coordinating their participation in global forums organised by the Establishment. Which will contribute to achieving the goals and pillars of Dubai Women Establishment’s 2023-2027 strategic plan.
Naeema Ahli also appreciated the tremendous support given by the Dubai Police to women and enhancing their presence in various job specialisations, praising the critical role played by female police officers in providing security and safety for the people of the UAE, visitors and various events within the country, which in turn contributes to achieving the vision that They include the strategic plan of the Dubai Women Establishment, which aims to make Dubai a global model for women-friendly cities, stressing the Establishment’s keenness to enhance community awareness of this vital role.
In turn, Expert Major Al Anoud Al Saadi, Head of the Women's Police Council, of Dubai Police, said that the signing of the memorandum comes as a translation of the directives of the Dubai Police General Command, which aims to build bridges of relations, consolidate bilateral cooperation and coordination, strengthen partnership relations, and exchange innovative experiences and skills with various stakeholders—entities from the government and private sectors, which would achieve common goals.
She added, through this memorandum, we seek to support efforts aimed at developing the capabilities of female employees by the latest scientific practices and to provide them with the knowledge and methods that enable them to effectively lead the course of specialised security work, which is one of the priorities of the Dubai Police strategy, which is represented by its interest in the human element and its development, through Holding joint events in the field of development, training and beneficial exchange, and adopting creative ideas in the process of training and continuing education for female members.
She stressed that the Dubai Women’s Police Council pays excellent attention to consolidating relations with various relevant authorities to exchange knowledge, experience and pioneering practices to the Council in supporting women. Additionally, exchanging experiences and practices that would ensure the sustainability of women’s empowerment and support, as the Council implements many Development initiatives and programs.
